Overview

The Downtown Development Authority is a board that is established through state statute to implement development plans for downtown districts. The DDA can levy an additional millage for public improvements. The DDA is a tax increment financing authority which collects any additional taxes raised from any building improvement that occurs after its date of establishment. Experience in Business Development and Retention, Marketing and Promotion, Community Development, Banking, Finance, and Accounting is preferred.
