Arbor Day Proclamation

Annually, the City encourages residents to celebrate arbor day with a tree planting. The 2025 Arbor Day Proclamation was accepting by a members of the Marshall Area Conservation Corp (MACC).

Tree Planting Program

The City of Marshall endeavors to complete annual tree planting events. For these events, volunteers will be utilized to plant trees purchased by the City throughout town in both the public right of way and private property. If you are interested in having one placed in front of your home in the right of way or on your property, please fill out a Tree Planting Request form.

Once we receive your request, and contact information, we will investigate the site for feasibility in preparation for the next planting event.

2025 Tree Planting

The next planting event is currently scheduled for April 26, 2025. Approximately 60 trees will be planted throughout the City of Marshall by City staff and volunteers. The annual tree planting events are typically scheduled for the week of Earth Day and Arbor Day. The image below shows where trees are going to be planted for the spring 2025 planting event.
