Under the "Clean & Renewable Energy and Energy Waste Reduction Act,” also known as Michigan Public Act 342, (formerly known as Energy Optimization); Michigan utilities were required to assist customers in improving electric efficiency through Energy Optimization programs. The mandate ended at the end of 2021.
The City of Marshall has chosen to continue to offer this program as it sees great benefit to our residents and community.
There are rebates available for our commercial and industrial customers as well as residential customers when they install energy efficient lighting, appliances, and make upgrades to their HVAC systems.
