Assistant Director of Electric Utilities

 The City of Marshall is looking for an Assistant Director of Electric Utilities.  This position is responsible for the supervision of the electric Metering and Distribution Divisions, including the personnel required for these departments to function.  This is a decision-making position subject to frequent off hour call-ins.  Plans, organizes, and directs the activities and operation of the department.  Exercises judgment and sensitivity in the management and handling of electric service issues with customers.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF ELECTRIC UTILITIES

CITY OF MARSHALL, MICHIGAN

 

The City of Marshall, Michigan is a quaint Norman Rockwell style community with a population of 7,068 in lower, central Michigan. Located less than one hour from the campuses of the University of Michigan & Michigan State University, two hours from Detroit and beautiful Lake Michigan, and three hours from Chicago.  The City has installed a Fiber to the Premise system to every property in the City with symmetrical speeds up to 10 mbps.

Qualifications for the Assistant Director of Electric Utilities position include a degree in electrical engineering or a closely-related field, and a minimum of three to five years of experience working for an electric utility with supervisory or executive leadership responsibilities.  A State of Michigan licensed professional engineer desired.  Annual salary of $80,000 with excellent benefits.
